We have a great cider mill in our county that also happens to be within walking distance of my home. Needless to say, if you are looking for the freshest, most delicious apples, it’s the place to be, without a doubt!

They make the greatest apple cider that is always fresh and so tasty. Fresh apple cider is THE best. Hands down! So when I found this recipe for warming wassail (hot mulled cider), I had to try it. I mean, this cider is good enough already, but having it in a new even tastier way? How could I say no to that?

It’s a perfect drink to bring to a holiday party to warm up the guests on a cold December night. It does have to boil and then simmer for about a half an hour, but it really is a simple recipe. If you are taking it to a party, bring it in a crock pot, so you can keep it warm. Warm cider is so good, especially on a cold wintry evening. Give this recipe a try and let me know what everyone thought!

Here’s what you need:

1 gallon (16 cups) apple cider
1 cup lemon juice
1/3 cup granulated sugar
10 (2-inch) cinnamon sticks, broken in half
Whole cloves (about 1 teaspoon)
6 oranges, each cut into 6 to 8 wedges

This fantastic recipe is coming to you today thanks to cooksrecipes.com. I don’t care how cold it gets this year, this should warm you up NO PROBLEM! What more could you ask? Maybe you would ask me how to make it? If you would like to know, then be sure to head on over to Cook’s Recipes now for the full instructions. Enjoy!
