Two favorites to a lot people are about to become one! We have chocolate chip cookies and then we have pie. Well, here is a recipe that takes those two perfect treats and combines them to make what could become one of your favorite family desserts.  This is a recipe for the Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie and its a recipe you should not miss!

It’s this incredible recipe that turns into a moist, gooey, delicious treasure that, if you’re not careful, will go very quickly, even quicker than you want!  You can eat this pie hot or cold because it’s great either way. When it’s warm though it’s a pie that you feel like eating with a spoon, so be aware.

Here’s what you need:

1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust, homemade or store-bought.
2 large eggs
1/2 C flour
1/2 C white granulated sugar
1/2 C packed brown sugar
3/4 C real butter, softened (1 1/2 sticks)
1 C chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark works best, you might find milk too sweet)
1 C chopped pecans (you are welcome to make it without nuts)
Vanilla ice cream, or sweetened whipped cream for serving (a must! I prefer ice cream)
Optional: chocolate sauce (honestly, doesn’t really need chocolate sauce, but it looks pretty!)
