Who doesn’t LOVE cheesecake? If you live in New York City, the best cheesecake in town is Junior’s Cheesecake, and if you DON’T live there…. Well now you know. It’s THAT good!

My husband’s 98 (!!!) year old aunt, who lives 4 hours away from us, sometimes requests this cheesecake by name to be delivered to her by my husband every time she hears he’s going to visit. But being that it’s summer…it’s difficult traveling that distance with a cheesecake in tow. So this recipe, New York Cheesecake, is for you, Auntie!

Here’s what you need:

2 cups finely crushed graham cracker crumbs
1⁄2 cup butter or 1⁄2 cup margarine, melted
5 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 3⁄4 cups sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 1⁄2 teaspoons vanilla
5 eggs
2 egg yolks
1⁄3 cup whipping cream
1 teaspoon finely shredded lemon, rind of

This recipe calls for 5 (8 oz. each) packages cream cheese, 5 eggs and 2 yolks (other ingredients, too); mix all together…bake…cool…then chill for 24 hours. And get ready to have the cheesecake ever!!!!
