For those of you who simply enjoy baking, here’s a bread (or muffins) you have to try…it’s Cranberry Orange Bread!

This bread is good to make ahead and keep in your freezer until you need it. Just wrap it up in cling wrap and then in foil. And when you need it, take it out 1 hour before, and it’s like you just finished baking it. It’s great!!!!

For the ingredients you need the old standards…along with orange juice, grated orange zest, chopped cranberries and chopped walnuts…and that’s it.

Here’s what you need:

2 cups flour
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup butter, cut into small chunks
3/4 cup orange juice
1 tablespoon grated orange zest
1 egg, beaten
1 cup chopped cranberries
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

You can bake it as bread for 60–75 minutes on 350 degrees or you can make it into muffins on 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes…and either way you bake it…it’s gonna be good!
