This summer has been hot, that staying cool and hydrated is very important.  Drinking soda isn’t a good idea and plain water is great, but can be boring.  Lemonade is always a great alternative to water, but sometimes it’s fun to try different refreshments.  There are so many different drinks to try that I’ve made it a weekly obsession.

Raspberries are always a great way to go, so this week, this raspberry limeade recipe was one I was looking forward to trying.  You will have to use your stove top to dissolve the sugar into water, but after that it’s just putting everything together, mixing and chilling.  Don’t add the sparkling water till your ready to serve and I guarantee it’ll be refreshing and delicious.

Here’s what you need:

1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
1/2 cup strained raspberry puree
1 tbsp. lemon juice
3 cups sparkling water, chilled
Lime slices and fresh raspberries, for serving
