There are so many different types of cheesecakes…amaretto…New York…cherry…are just a few. But how would you like to an Oreo Cheesecake!!!

This cheesecake is made with Oreo cookies and cream cheese. It’s hard to believe that with these 2 ingredients; along with butter, sugar and eggs…you can get a very tasty cheesecake.

Every time I buy a package of Oreo’s, they are gone within hours, sometimes minutes! My son, as well as his Dad love those black and white cookies with cream in the middle, and it’s like I blink my eyes…and they are GONE, and I’m lucky if I had 2 cookies.

So to stop that, I decided to turn them into this cheesecake, so that we will ALL get a chance for once. As hungry as they are, they can’t eat an entire cheesecake between the two of them, not THAT fast!

Here’s what you need:

30 Oreo cookies, divided
1/4 cup butter, melted
3 packages (24 oz) cream cheese, room temperature
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 eggs

You make the crust with 12 cookies; then refrigerate for an hour. Take 12 more cookies that have been crushed somewhat; then pour the mixture of the cheesecake over the cookies; bake…refrigerate overnight.

Sprinkle the remaining Oreo cookies over the top…then enjoy!
