The thing about meatloaf is that most people either love it or they hate it, it’s not usually on a regular rotation on someones dinner list. I actually hated meatloaf when I was younger, but then my tastes changed and the way I make the meatloaf changed too.

I found this recipe for a Tennessee Meatloaf and what I love about it is that it’s made with a mixture of ground beef, pork, and veal and also includes a variety of other ingredients that I never used in my regular meatloaf before.

What you end up with is one of the most moist, flavorful meatloaf’s that you will ever try! If you’re not a fan of meatloaf, or if you don’t think it’s something your kids or rest of the family will like, give it a try anyway. I think you’ll be surprised and may even hear requests for this meatloaf in the future.

Here’s what you need:

1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
Meatloaf:
cooking spray
1 onion, chopped
1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 teaspoons prepared mustard

1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce (such as Tabasco®)
1/2 cup milk
2/3 cup quick cooking oats
1 pound ground beef
