Right off the bat, I’d like to acknowledge that, yes, this recipe from Replica Recipes is technically for Chili’s Awesome Blossom. For me however, there is only room in my heart for ONE deep-fried, batter dipped onion, and that is Outback Steakhouse’s Bloomin’ Onion. It’s really the same thing with a different name. The name isn’t important though. No, it’s all about the tastes, and no matter what you call it or where you first had it, this recipe ROCKS! If you never had one of these, you really do need to try it for yourself. Why not try to make one?

Here is what you’ll need to make an Awesome Blossom:

1 Prepared Onion
2 1/2 C. Flour
2 tsp. McCormick Season All
1/2 tsp. Coarsely Ground Pepper
1/4 tsp. Garlic Powder
1 C. Butter Milk

There’s no substitute for the real thing, and I remember trying to make one of these myself years ago and…. yeah it didn’t go well. But if you can’t get out to an Outback or Chili’s, then you might as well give it a go! Head on over to Replica Recipes for the full instructions. Good Luck!
