I’ve always wanted to make my own doughnuts and when I found this recipe I knew it was for me. The best thing about this recipe is that it just SCREAMS Fall, and with Thanksgiving fast-approaching, these treat should suit your dinner table quite well!

It’s a recipe for Apple Cider Doughnuts with Apple Cider Cheesecake Filling and I’m telling you, they look, smell and ARE wonderful! Making the doughnuts was really easy too. It’s a simple recipe and the only difficulty was not eating the doughnuts as fast as we made them.

The doughnuts are so delicious by themselves and with the apple cider cheesecake filling, they are just above and beyond amazing! You can make these doughnuts with alcohol or not. We made them without, so I can only describe them, but they were so good. The doughnuts, especially when served warm, are so light and flavorful and when the filling is added, they just melt in your mouth!

Here’s what you need:

1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 egg
4 tablespoons butter, softened as much as possible to room temperature (or warmer)
