If you’ve never tried churros, you are definitely missing out on a treat!  A churro is a fried dough pastry that is so tasty and gloriously addicting.  The only thing better than finding a great churro, is making your own. That’s something I’ve never tried, however, as I am used to waiting for the fair to come o town, at which point I can just have my fill. But now I can make them on my own, and it makes me SO HAPPY!

This recipe gives you that opportunity and I guarantee you, it won’t be your only time you’ll make these.  You’re going to be hooked, especially when you add the wonderful chocolate peanut butter dipping sauce.  These churros are really easy to make and along with the sauce, will take no time at all.  It’s a great snack to make for movie night or for an after dinner treat when you just want something small.  It’s hard to stop eating them though, so make a good amount. This recipe will serve about four.

Here’s what you need:

Chocolate-Peanut Butter Sauce:
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup heavy cream
2 teaspoons vanilla
Churros:
2 1/2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup water
2 tablespoons vegetable oil, plus more for frying
1 cup flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
