The Brooklyn Baking Barons shared this wonderful recipe with the folks at The Chew (one of my favorite shows!) for awesome holiday personal cakes that are their take on rum cake.  It’s called Honey Whiskey cake, and “The Barons” sold over 3000 of these babies this past holiday season.  Three thousand people can’t be wrong!

The beauty of the recipe is that they took their fairly complicated version that they make for their customers, and came up with a simpler version that uses ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen!  As soon as I finished watching the videos of their appearance on The Chew, I was able to whip up a batch without even going to the store, and they were simply delicious – much better than rum cake in my opinion.  I’ll be making these for sure when the holidays roll around!!

Don’t be fooled by the short ingredients list below – when you put it all together, the result is unbelievable!!
