It’s quite a simple recipe to follow and is really great tasting. When I made this the first time, I thought the sauce was incredible! The next time I made it, I made sure I doubled the sauce, because I liked it so much and think it really makes the dish.

It really tastes like I ordered it from my favorite Chinese restaurant, so the recipe found it’s way into my personal collection and is one I still use today whenever I get a craving.

Here’s what you need:

1 1/2 pounds beef top sirloin, thinly sliced
1/3 cup white sugar
1/3 cup rice wine vinegar
2 tablespoons frozen orange juice concentrate
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 cup long grain rice
2 cups water
1/4 cup cornstarch
2 teaspoons orange zest
3 tablespoons grated fresh ginger
1 1/2 tablespoons minced garlic
8 broccoli florets, lightly steamed or blanched
2 cups oil for frying
