I needed to make something sweet for a party coming up so I started a search for anything with chocolate. I found a lot of recipes that include using chocolate bars of all kinds so I thought, this would be great to try. Butterfinger and cookie dough cheesecake bars are unbelievable. You should have seen how WIDE my eyes got when I first stumbled on to this recipe. WOW these look amazing!
The name alone made me look into it, but it only took one look at this dessert and I had to try it. Butterfingers are one of my favorite chocolate bars, so putting whole ones inside a cheesecake bar along with cookie dough… is just genius! There are two yummy layers that are both easy to make, and most of the ingredients, if not all, are probably in your cupboards right now. The only problem I have with these bars is that I can’t eat just one! I dare you to try!
Here’s what you need:
Chocolate chip cookie layer
½ cup butter, melted
½ cup brown sugar
½ teaspoon vanilla
¾ cup flour plus 2 tablespoons
1 cup mini chocolate chips + 1/2 cup for top
5 Butterfinger bars, king size
8oz. cream cheese, room temperature
1/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
