We’re always looking for a great new sandwich to add to our repertoire of delicious recipes.  Cold or hot sandwiches, it doesn’t matter because if there is bread, meat, cheese, bacon and veggies it’s going to spark my interest.  This is a recipe for kentucky hot browns, which is a sandwich which you broil using a mornay sauce, is right up my alley!

The mornay sauce, if you don’t know, is a wonderful southern light cheese sauce.  I always try to go to my favorite deli and get slightly thick, cut fresh roasted turkey slices that makes the whole sandwich.  It’s a very filling meal so make it on a day that you want some sort of comfort food because this will fill your belly for the night.

Here’s what you need:

4 thick white bread slices
3/4 pound sliced roasted turkey
Mornay Sauce
1 cup (4-oz.) shredded Parmesan cheese
3 plum tomatoes, sliced
8 bacon slices, cooked

Thank you My Recipes, for binging this new sandwich into my life. This already looked and sounded good, but then I see there’s bacon, which makes EVERYTHING better! So much to love here. Be sure to head over to My Recipes now for the full instructions. Enjoy!
