It starts off with a shortbread crust, then it’s topped with a cream cheese…spices…oats…apples, then its baked; after it cools you top it with a drizzle of caramels; which is then refrigerated overnight.

And believe me it’s amazing!  You take your first bite…close your eyes…and hear the bells ringing…this Caramel Apple Crisp is divine…and you wonder where has it been all these years!!! The best thing about it is that the taste should fit right along all of your seasonal favorites, so it should make a welcome addition the coming festivities.

Here’s what you need:

6 Tbsp. butter, divided
1 cup finely crushed square shortbread cookies
3 Tbsp. granulated sugar, divided
1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1 pkg. (3.4 oz.) JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding
1 Tbsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
2 cups chopped Granny Smith apples (about 2 apples)
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup old-fashioned or quick-cooking oats
10 KRAFT Caramels
2 Tbsp. water
