Boneless chicken breasts are probably the meat my family eats most often. It’s simple and quick, but it gets old fast. I guess that’s the problem with convenience sometimes. I used to just bread it and we’d dip the pieces in barbecue sauce or hot sauce, but then I started searching for different ideas.

This is a recipe for crunchy honey garlic chicken that has turned out to be a favorite of ours.  You have the choice of cooking the chicken on the stove top or in the oven.  I’ve tried it both ways and either way comes out really great!  The chicken is always so moist and the outside has a nice crunch.  The recipe calls for a variety of ingredients that leave the honey garlic flavor to light up your palate.  Give it a try, your family will be delighted!

Here’s what you need:

4 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
2 cups flour
4 tsp salt
4 tsp black pepper
3 tbsp ground ginger
1 tbsp freshly ground nutmeg
2 tsp ground thyme
2 tsp ground sage
2 tbsp paprika
1 tsp cayenne pepper
4 eggs
8 tbsp water
2 tbsp olive oil
3-4 cloves minced garlic
1 cup honey
¼ cup soy sauce (low sodium soy sauce is best)
1 tsp ground black pepper
canola oil for frying
