Here’s another COOL one for you… sorry, I had to… Anyway, this is a fantastic recipe to help fight back those upcoming hot Summer days. What we have here is a recipe for ice cream that takes inspiration from Hot Tamales cinnamon candies, becoming a real treat for the senses. At the same time, both hot and spicy, and cool and refreshing, this is ice cream like you’ve never had it before! I’ve never thought of a cinnamon flavored ice cream before, but if the Food Network does anything well, it’s taking two things you would never expect and making them work together to create something unique. Granted, you need an actual ice cream maker for this, so not EVERYONE can make it, but if you can find one, I highly suggest giving this recipe a go!

Here is what you’ll need to make Fire and Ice Cream:

2 cups whipping cream
2 cups half-and-half
1 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon oil or cinnamon extract

Assuming  you can get your hands on an ice cream maker, this recipe is shockingly simple to make. You WON’T be sorry you did! For the full instructions, head over to The Food Network now. Enjoy!
