I’m a big fan of cream puffs. Such a simple little thing. It’s just little balls of simple dough, you cut em in half, put some pudding between them and put them back together. They’re great. This recipe is very much the same concept. Ice Cream Donuts are like cream puffs of steroids! And they are one HECK of a way to keep cool this summer. But be warned, if you DO wish to give these a try, you MUST serve them immediately! I shouldn’t need to explain why. Just grab your favorite donut and your favorite ice cream, combine, and enjoy! It’s THAT easy! Big thanks to Pillsbury for bringing this recipe to my attention. I’m gonna give this a try the next chance I get!

Here is what you’ll need to make Ice Cream Donuts:

Glaze
1 tablespoon butter
1/4 cup apple or seedless strawberry jelly
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 to 3 tablespoons hot water

Doughnuts and Ice Cream
1 can (16.3 oz) Pillsbury™ Grands!™ Flaky Layers refrigerated biscuits
3 cups vanilla ice cream, softened slightly
Crushed candies and sprinkles, if desired

These ingredients are here for you if you were interested in going the “from scratch” route, and while I usually recommend doing that, it’s much easier to just do what I said on the previous page. Either way will work tho! For the full instructions, head to Pillsbury now. Enjoy!
