These “Starlight Mint Surprise Cookies” are from Pillsbury and they’re very easy to make. First you mix the cookie up then fold the batter around an “After Eight” candy, solid chocolate mint candy wafers. Then put chopped /whole walnuts or pecans on top of each cookie. They are great to make because in no time at all YOU’RE DONE! I love Pillsbury Classic Cookbooks, I’ve been collecting them for the last 30 years, and they’re GREAT! 1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
2 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
3 cups Pillsbury BEST® all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
60 thin rectangular crème de menthe chocolate candies (from three 4.67-oz packages), unwrapped
60 walnut halves or pieces
