This Summer Dessert Pizza is simple to make, any pizza starts off by making the crust (dough), follow directions. Once that step is all done you make the glaze; cool at room temperature.  Then beat the topping ingredients; at that point you add the whipped topping; mix well. Now, you’re ready to spread this mixture over the crust. This is the best because now you have to slice up all the fruit; then arrange on the top of pizza; brush with glaze…and your pizza is ready to be served. I would like to thank Ida Ruth Wenger and Taste of Home for this delicious Summer Dessert Pizza. It’s the best!!!

Here is what you’ll need to make Summer Dessert Pizza:

1/4 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1 large egg
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon lemon extract
1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt

GLAZE:
1/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup orange juice

TOPPING:
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup confectioners’ sugar
1 cup whipped topping
1 firm banana, sliced
1 cup sliced fresh strawberries
1 can (8 ounces) mandarin oranges, drained
2 kiwifruit, peeled and thinly sliced
1/3 cup fresh blueberries

How’s THAT for a new take on pizza? I’ve heard of putting fruit on pizza as a topping (Hawaiian pizza, anyone?) but a pizza made completely out of fruit? You’re crazy! For the full instructions, head over to Taste of Home now. Enjoy!
