The next time you feel like ordering Chinese food… DON’T!  Make your own instead! That’s what I did when I found this recipe for Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken!

The name alone intrigued me, but what won me over was the incredibly SHORT list of ingredients. I love it when you get something so tasty from so few ingredients and as someone who cooks a lot, let me tell you, that’s the greatest feeling in the world!

Here’s everything you need:

1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 tablespoons honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 teaspoons chopped fresh ginger root
2 teaspoons chopped garlic
2 tablespoons hot sauce
salt and pepper to taste
4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves – cut into 1/2 inch strips
1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Just add everything together, cut the chicken into thin strips, brown chicken strips…cook…add sauce…simmer until sauce thickens. This recipe is very hands-off and does most of the work for you. Sounds like my kind of dish!

Thank you katemaetinioblog and All Recipes for bringing me this gloriously simple and delicious dish. I can’t wait to make this for my family and for them to think there’s more to it than there really is, see, then they appreciate it THAT much more! You know better, but you will never let them know, now will you?
