I have NEVER SEEN Apple Roses before yesterday, and now I can’t help but wonder where they’ve been all my life!

It was late night and I couldn’t sleep. So I decided to look on the internet until my eyes couldn’t take it anymore. After about 1 ½ hours I came across this recipe for apple roses…I was starting to get tired, and my head was bobbing up and down (after all it was 1:30 am). As great as it looked, I started to realize I was fighting a losing battle with consciousness and… Well, I must have fallen asleep because when I woke up there was something totally different of my screen. I looked up to see what time it was…and the clock said it was 1:55 am.

Was it a dream? At that point, I was far too sleepy, and I couldn’t bring myself to find anything on the apple roses. So I went to bed…when I woke up it was 7:00 am, I went straight to my PC to look up apple roses, and this is what I found…

 

 

Also, here are the ingredients:

2 apples (pink lady, braeburn, or honeycrisp)
Juice of half a lemon
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
Flour, for dusting
3 tablespoons apricot or strawberry preserves
Powdered sugar, for dusting

After all I wasn’t sure if I had DREAMT it or not. Looks like I wasn’t crazy after all! So thanks to Handle the Heat for this awesome recipe that I can’t WAIT to try.
