Ahh, cheese danish… If I had to pick a favorite pastry, it would have to be this! The strange thing about it is that, as much as I love it, and always seem to go out of my way to seek one out, it recently dawned on me that I have never ONCE even thought about trying to make it myself. I’m not too sure why that is exactly, maybe it looked too difficult. Or maybe I just didn’t want to run the risk of screwing it up and have my love of cheese danish tainted forever!– Ok that was a LITTLE dramatic, but either way, I think it’s about time I rectified the situation. I found this recipe thanks to Kitchen Girl Jo and it’s so simple, it might be exactly what I’ve been looking for. If you would like to join me in my endeavor, by all means, give this recipe a try!

Here is what you’ll need to make Easy Cheese Danish:

2 cans ready to use refrigerated crescent rolls
2 8-ounce packages cream cheese
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg
1 egg white

Glaze:
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 Tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Wish me luck! I can’t wait to try this for myself and see how it compares to the “real” thing. For the full instructions, just click here. Enjoy!
