I’m always searching for recipes that use apples and this is my latest find. My daughter and I made these just yesterday and they are already gone. It’s a recipe for Fried Apple Rings and believe me when I say, it’s SO good!

You use your favorite baking apples and you start by cutting them into rings like you would for onion rings. Then you are going to take those rings and dip them in a mixture of yogurt, egg, salt, baking powder, and flour and coat them well so you can put them in the oil to fry.

Once they are done, which takes about 15 minutes, you coat the rings in a sugar and cinnamon mixture and enjoy. They are so wonderful and addicting and just the perfect light dessert!

Here’s what you need:

1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup plain yogurt ( I use Dannon )
1 large egg
6 cooking apples, like Granny Smith, sliced into 1/4-inch thick slices
Canola Oil for Frying
1/2 cup sugar
1 to 2 teaspoons cinnamon
