The fall season brings cravings for some of the best dessert recipes, especially the ones that include apples as the main ingredient!

Apple pie is a favorite for many of us, I mean, is there anything MORE American? It’s a recipe we all will try baking at some point during the coming months, especially around the holidays. Especially Thanksgiving and Christmas, when I actually get orders from family members, not to mention I just HAVE to bring it over people’s houses. If you can’t tell by now, I make a mean apple pie, But I’ve never made one like this before.

My love for apple pie is what attracted me to this recipe for an apple pie cookie.  This cookie is exactly what you would expect it to be.  It’s a cookie that looks and tastes just like you’re eating an apple pie.  They fit right in your hand and are very hard to stop eating, so make plenty.  Give them a try because your family will love them!

Here’s what you need:

6 green apples
1 package refrigerated pie crust (2 crusts)
5 ounces caramel sauce
1 egg
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Ground cinnamon
